How the NVQ process works
First of all we arrange for an initial meeting to introduce ourselves and to fully determine your requirements.
Step 1
We collect information on each candidate; we supply you a spreadsheet asking for the candidate’s full name, date of birth, their occupation or job role, and where possible their *National Insurance number and. On receipt of all of the information, we set up a company and candidate file.
*Please see our Data Protection Policy
Step 2
We arrange a Profiling Session with the candidates, at a time and date to suit you. The session can take place in an office, a staff canteen or even on at the side of the road in the driver’s cab - at any time, night or day. We understand that your drivers don’t work a 9 to 5 day – we work when you work.
Each candidate will need to bring proof of identity (such as a passport, birth certificate) and proof of their address.
Each profiling session can accommodate from 1 to 100 people and, depending on the number of candidates, the session normally takes up to 2 hours, which is the longest ‘downtime’ the candidates will have over the entire process.
Step 3
Our Profiler, on returning from the Profiling Session, passes all of the information to our Registrations Department.
Step 4
Each candidate is assigned an Assessor, who will arrange a date and time to meet the candidate and begin the NVQ process. Our Assessor will visit the candidate at the workplace at regular intervals, providing training and collecting evidence to support the NVQ. If certain areas need more attention, the Assessor will provide additional training to ensure that the candidate is on track.
Throughout the process, we will provide appropriate feedback to each candidate and management information to the employer.
Step 5
Once all of the evidence required for the NVQ has been collected and verified, the candidate’s NVQ certificate will be delivered to the employer for presentation.
